Airport City Elevated Walkway
The upcoming Airport City campus has been planned to connect the Metro station with the rest of the development where the streets and elevated walkways become vital spaces. A 3 km network of elevated walkways are designed to help people move between buildings, public transport hubs, dining and recreational areas, parks and leisure landscape in the Airport City.

Elevated connections help movement between buildings, across streets and to the stations. The elevated walkways at Airport City take the users in the green landscape between the building blocks, in an alternate path to the streets. Junction hubs, pause points and vertical access are designed as nodes and features to enhance the pedestrian experience.

These walkways will help people comfortably walk to and from the Metro Station in an elevated realm in addition to the streetlevel.
The elevated walkways are designed to help people move between buildings, public transport hubs, dining and recreational areas, parks and leisure landscape in the Airport City. They run between the buildings at about 7-8m above ground. The walkways vary in width from 7.5m to 3m as per location and expected pedestrian density.
Each junction is designed as a node that disperses people towards different destinations. These nodes have a sculptural structure that shades it and gives it an identity. They allow for a pause in the movement, a pause in the landscape. Other pause points are provided along the long path of the walkways adding street furniture, landscape and accessories. At the main streets and at some connecting nodes, staircase and lift structures are designed as elements of the architectural landscape.
