Ramji Gond TFF Museum
This Tribal museum balances the urban and natural. The flow of space begins from the tall entrance lobby and connected central court. It extends into the galleries spiralling upwards around the court. The visitor gently climbs up from gallery to gallery in a continuous loop. The display, props and interactive elements are woven along this loop in thematic threads.

The brick facade of the building brings an earthy relief to the urban clutter around it. Gentle and natural materials shape the architecture. The interior spaces remain a neutral white and offer surfaces for large artworks and graphic display. The introverted building opens into the central court.

The journey begins from the tall entrance lobby and extends into the galleries spiralling upwards around the central court.
The experience of the tribal culture and its association with the Indian freedom movement begins from the approach street. The streetside welcomes the visitor into the arrival area with the display of artifacts in a ‘tribal’ landscape. To encourage diverse cultural activities, the ground floor is an open, expansive and connected space with the lobby, court and amphitheater.
The tall central courtyard will enable daylight into the museum. The courtyard will have a focus display of Ramji Gond’s legendary resistance, capture and hanging in an artful manner. This court will orient the experience of the visitor through the galleries, as they spiral upwards, but keep the courtyard façade intact. The ramps are visible from the court as a ribbon on which a narration of the tribal freedom is muralled in.
